He washed me white as snow…

When I greeted Nicole yesterday morning, she was quiet. Nothing like the boisterious young lady who recently announced to our group, “I’m getting baptized!”  She was standing in the back of the church looking at all the people, getting nervous. We said a quick prayer. She went in a back room and the rest of us sat in our seats up front.

Ray Lightcap had the honor of baptizing Nicole and dedicating her two lovely little ladies and this helped ease Nicole’s nerves because she’s grown quite close to him.  He walked her through her testimony and then baptized her… and when she surfaced, her smile couldn’t have been any bigger!

Nicole’s biological family refused to come. They even ridiculed her. But Ray and Ruth were able to offer YFC and church family as a substitute family and we all gladly took the role!  Nicole has found at home at Faith Baptist Church and her new family has welcomed her with wide-open arms. A stranger (Nicole is calling him an angel!) came up to her after and handed her $100 bill and walked away. She isn’t a single mom anymore. She has a family.

A Family…

You see, that’s all these girls want. A family. And we can give it to them because we can introduce them to a perfect Father.

Praise God with us for how He’s moved in Nicole’s life (see her testimony on our home page.)

We Need Your Prayers

We have had many blogs that have shown in wonderful ways what God has been doing in Teen Parents.  God continues to do great and mighty things.  Today we have some requests that we would like to put before you.

1.  Please continue to pray for little Cheyanne as she continues to struggle with various health issues. (see archive for her story)  Pray also for her mom as she cares for her.

2.   We have a great need for mentors.  Please pray that God will send just the right people to come along side to minister to the girls.

3.  Please pray that God would send nursery workers for group nights.

4.  Pray that people would volunteer to be drivers for our programs.  Most of the girls do not drive and have no way of getting to group unless we provide transportation.

5.  Pray for additional staff for Teen Parents.  Pray especially for Catie Panicia as she is raising funds to be able to come on staff to work with City Life and Teen Parents.

6.  Ruth is looking to increase her hours in the next few months and will need additional support.  Please pray for God’s provision.

7.  Please pray for Ray as he tries to get in contact with the Teen Dads.

We are so grateful for you who partner with us in this ministry.  We love you and thank God for each of you.
